Fowl Pox

Fowl Pox is a pervasive, viral poultry disease, spread primarily by insects, affecting chickens, turkeys, quail, and other bird species. Its physical symptoms typically evolve from raised lesions to dark, wart-like scabs, while other indicators include reduced egg production, appetite loss, and weight loss. Although there’s no cure, preventative measures such as vaccination, iodine treatments for scabs, sanitation, and good biosecurity management can control the virus’ spread.
